Who I work with
Much of my coaching is working with Women in Leadership and (predominantly) women who are taking family leave from their organisation.
Although the world of work has improved over the years, there are still a unique set of challenges facing many women in the workplace.
I support people to be able to make choices about the organisation culture in which they can perform most productively and then work with them to identify changes and transition which can make this a reality.
Women are still the main providers of childcare and non paid work at home, and for working women this provides a whole other set of opportunities and challenges.
Enabling women to have a positive experience of working and taking time off for childbirth and child care can be hugely important both for the parent and for the organisation.
Returning to work after a period of upto twelve months can be a daunting process and I work with people to make smooth transitions and to be able to minimise the negative impact of taking time off on their longer term careers.
Intersectional equality, diversity and inclusion underpin all of my work, and my passion is about helping people and organisations to build and sustain inclusive cultures which allow all employees to thrive and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
“The initial coaching session with Julia was really helpful. I think it was the first time that I actually thought about my family leave, return to work, the feeling of being away from work, how wonderful but at the same time how lonely being on family leave can be, etc. Julia managed to cover quite a few things with me which it was great. Julia is an excellent professional. She made me feel very comfortable to speak about my feelings, expectations and concerns.”
